WHAT IS NOSE THREAD LIFT?

Technique

After numbing and application of local anaesthetic
the doctor places fine threads along the nasal bridge for the height
a thread can also be inserted in the septum to give projection to the nose.
The threads are placed under the skin to elevate the nose bridge and tip while stimulating collagen formation to provide sustainable lift for the nose.
The number of threads required varies according to individuals’ need. An initial consult with the doctor is required to determine the current shape of the nose and the desired outcome before he can decide the number of threads required.

Cannot be used for reduction rhinoplasty
Cannot correct hump on dorsum successfully
Threads once put cannot be pulled out nonsurgically. You need to wait for all threads to absorb/ remove them surgically
It adds to fibrosis of the nasal soft tissue and so making open rhinoplasty difficult if you want to go for it
It gives subtle changes only. Cannot be a dramatic result as of surgical result.
This treatment is highly technique dependent
Deviations, kinks and dimpling can happen in less experienced hands

Some clinics advertise nose thread lifts as better than the actual rhinoplasty. I feel it as a dangerous trend. Some doctors who don’t perform surgical rhinoplasty may show advantages of thread lift nose and nonsurgical rhinoplasty more but be cautious there. Nonsurgical means can give only subtle changes and that too temporary. If you are willing for permanent result with extra improvement please consider surgical rhinoplasty. Though being safe and nonsurgical they also have complications in non-experienced hands.

it is important to discuss your options with a doctor you can trust, or go to a clinic which can offer any of the temporary or permanent rhinoplasty.
