Forehead Lift

A forehead lift is a cosmetic treatment used to address drooping of the skin on the forehead, brows, and top eyelids. It may also help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead but between the eyes. A forehead lift eliminates or modifies the muscles and skin that produce drooping brows, “hooding” eyelids, forehead folds, other frown lines. The treatment can be performed alone or in conjunction with other surgeries such as a facelift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping. The procedure can be performed at a doctor’s office, an outpatient surgical facility, or a hospital. It is generally performed as an outpatient procedure, with no overnight stay.

You will be awake but will be given a topical anesthetic to prevent pain. General anesthesia will be utilized in some situations. During the treatment, you may feel some straining of the skin on your forehead and maybe some pain. During the procedure: Hair will be kept away from the operating region in sections. Hair near the cut line may require to be trimmed, but vast amounts of hair will not be shaved, and more. A surgical cut (incision) will be made at the ear level by the surgeon. That cut will extend over the top of the brow at the hairline to keep the brow from appearing excessively high.
